It has been days since I've posted.
Sorry for the disappearance.
But I have good reason.
I would like to introduce you to...
Scout
Awww...
Isn't he so cute?
We just got him on Friday.
He's a Blue Merle Corgi and he's 3/4 Corgi and 1/4 Chihuahua.
He's such a good little guy.
It took a lot of time and research to find him. We wanted the right dog for our family. Not just the first puppy we saw and fell in love with - because, let's face it...all puppies are easy to fall in love with, right?
(We made that mistake several years ago and learned our lesson the hard way, promising ourselves never to let it happen again.)
We headed up to Bellingham on Friday morning - a two hour drive - and met with a breeder, intending to see Scout's sister. I had decided a couple of months ago that when we did finally decide on a dog, that it would be a girl. But once we got to the breeder's farm, it became clear that she wasn't right for us at all...
but he was perfect.
We decided on his name on the long car ride home and it fits him to a T.
We couldn't have asked for a better Valentine!
Owen is in heaven - he's been talking about getting a dog ever since...well, ever since he could talk.
William loves having a furry little companion.
And Ellison, hmm...I'll just say that her intense fear of dogs is rapidly subsiding. She's fallen in love with him.
Having Scout is good for her!
I'm sure you'll be seeing more of him. He's too cute not to snap photos of!
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
I hope it was wonderful.
P.S. Will and I found a great deal on Craigslist yesterday! I'll tell you all about it and show you our plans soon. It's a project that we've never tackled before, but have been wanting to try for a long, long time. And it will definitely make for some great before and after photos!
